Most language apps teach English as if every learner started from the same place. They don't. A native Spanish speaker and a native French speaker stumble over different sounds, and the drills that fix one do very little for the other.
Back to Fluency starts from that gap. Lessons target the specific contrasts that speakers of a given mother language struggle with, so practice time goes where it actually changes the outcome.
Around the audio lessons sits a practice loop: Fluently, an AI conversation partner available as text chat for grammar and vocabulary, and as real-time voice for pronunciation. Voice conversations run on the OpenAI Realtime API; generation and evaluation elsewhere in the app run on Amazon Bedrock through the Amplify AI Kit.
The platform side is AWS Amplify Gen 2 end to end — Cognito for accounts, DynamoDB through AppSync for lesson and conversation data, S3 for audio delivery — with Stripe for subscriptions and full EN/ES internationalization.
